"I came home last night, tired as I could be
And what did my weary eyes see?
Whose shoes are *those* shoes, under the bed,
What where my shoes oughta be?

My man say now dear, my sweet sweet dear, It is plain to see,
Those ain't nothing but your bedroom slipper, under the bed
What where your shoes oughta be

Now I been around this world, Lord many a time,
But I ain't never see
Bedroom slippers with high heels
What where my shoes oughta be"

She goes on with several other similar verses involving housecoat, and finally someone else's head on the pillow, (which her man tells her is nothing but a cabbage head), until she finally kicks him out.

It's a version of "Cabbage Head".

"Doctor, Lawyer, beggarman, punk, Don't you know there ain't no devil that's just God when he's drunk"

The song is possibly titled,"Heart Attack Time." The singer has a very rough voice. It's an old traditional blues style song.

The songs title is "Heart Attack and Vine", writen by Tom Waits, but recorded by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Thanks to Paul for helping!

6

(female Vocalist is), could be any of the greats, I would say the date is about 50's and the "Hook" is "You Are Mine At Last"

5

"I've---------------------baby,
tryin to get back home to you
I got nothin' on my mind,
and I got no time to loose
I been away so dog gone long-baby,
I can't play nothin' but the blues

When I was just a child, I go ridin' in the car,
I didn't care how fast I was goin',
I didn't care how far
Now that I'm a full grown man,
I got nothin' on my mind"
